Support Group

We focus on peer-to-peer support, recognizing that the people who can best understand, respect and encourage a person living with brain injury to move forward is someone who shares that experience.

The group’s purpose is to provide a safe and courageous space to give and receive emotional support.

Support Groups meet twice a month in person and twice a month on Zoom. Meetings are free and open to anyone who has experienced a brain injury. Our Wallingford Brain Injury Support Group has been meeting since 2005 in the Good Shepherd Center on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. We also have an informal support group that meets at a coffee shop on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 1 – 2 pm.

We try to limit participation to people who live with a brain injury. Members may attend the first meeting or two with a partner, friend or caregiver and can be accommodated longer term as needed.
